Curiosity is limitless…

We are a curious lot. It is because we have not exhausted our faculties of imagination yet. The world keeps surprising us with ever-present uncertainty. And, we human beings always are struggling to contextualize our existence. If everything is certain from the start, curiosity is dead then. This may be the state of mind that is diseased with narrowness and prejudice.

I appreciate the curiosity because I appreciate myths, legends and mysticism. Curiosity speaks to us about the other worlds; it talks to us what is beyond known; it apprises us of what is hidden. It is not known science but it is a science that inspires us to explore unknown.

But curiosity is really a limitless ? Does our believing on a curious self make sense when we experience life in a confined place- both physical and psychological. Does our limitless curiosity can transcend us to a state where we can accomplish something extraordinary ? Does being curios always mean being receptive to knowledge, intellect and wisdom?

Nevertheless, why I am in love with curiosity is because it awakes me how much ignorant I am towards the facts around me. As in search of wisdom, we always move from known to unknown and vice versa. Perhaps curiosity drives this cycle of knowing-and-unknowing. It reminds me that much is beyond my comprehension and much is needed to know. It furnishes both confidence and humbleness in me when I am experiencing through the cycle of knowing-and-unknowing.

The unknown is always limitless. We may have clues but clue does not equate with certainty. As long as uncertainty remains the hallmark of living; curiosity will remain limitless. Though we can contextualize our faculties of imagination, but we cannot draw contours of our ability to be curious.

As exploration into the unknown may largely remain boundless.
