CREATIVE BITES, INSPIRATION

‘Substance’ in Life

To err is human, and human is a habitual creature. And, we live in a world where old habits die hard. We may imagine for greatness, but what to do with the ordinary life we are habitual to live with?

Is the life a random shot? … and, we are whirling particles into it? Or, we may create some form into our experiences that we call life. In the hazy world of existence, we need some sort of substance, though a tiny it might be.

The substance is what constitutes our self, our tiny existence in the cosmos. Interesting enough, this is the only valuable a mortal human may have, in the very world of ordinariness and arbitrariness.

When by a lucky chance, we are conscious of that tiny substance in us; then, little by little, we keep separating ourselves from the surrounding-the randomness that divides us, the relation that pains us, an effort that is vain, and thought that paints our lives invaluable. We clench our mental hand into tiny substance and try to expand upon that.

The imaginative mind expands upon that by giving it the whole life, the complete living experience. His measure of life, sometimes, is his effort into extending that substance into as much possible length as one can. He builds, creates, produces, and contributes, and sometimes, finds his true place.

A rigid mind, on the contrary, may find that substance pleasing at the outset. And, encloses himself into it. He insults the tiny valuable with his frustrated whims and wishes. Ultimately, life suffocates on the grounds of purported aims and goals. What to goal when life is suffocating?

The substance is integral to the scheme of life. What to make of that substance to build our lives is a question to be pondered upon.
